Capable governments should help foreign
Global warming is a hot topic that show a big influence to environments.
Because of high temperature, ice is melting then sea levels is rising, as
Handwerk (2004) explain that “since 1978,Artic sea ice area
has shrunk by some 9 percent per decade and has thinned as well. ”(para.5) and
“ the average of global sea level has risen by 4 to 8 inches(10 to 20 cm) over
the past century ”.(para.7) It shows that environments problem is aggravating. More
natural disasters have caused more people to lose their families and become
refugees. For example, “three million people have been displaced by
environmental degradation and disasters. The most destitute people live in
clusters of improvised tents made of plastic sheets and discarded bamboo and
often erected on private land near markets, railroad tracks and
the city’ s rivers. ” (Kakissis, 2010, para. 10).
The refugees are living in dire straits. The
lack of food and money make them hopeless. Some International organizations
want to try they best to help them, such as,” Mr. Hug will open and lead the
international center for climate change and development, an institute based
just outside of Dhaka and aimed at helping vulnerable countries come up with
practical ways to adapt to climate change. ”(Kakissis, 2010, para. 20). It
shows that some International organizations Already begun action, but relying
solely on the strength of international organizations is certainly not enough. To
solve the problem of refugees, it must rely on capable government. For example,
China is the most populous country in the world and one of the countries with
the highest population density, but China is also the second largest economy in
the world. China is doing its best to help the global refugees, despite the
demographic problems they face. There are 20 refugee camps in China with large
numbers of refugees and they have a subsidy of $441 a month. It is the
responsibility of a big country to help the homeless refugees. Capable
governments should help foreign.
